A new Kindle book just made its entrance into the world. Other Gods follows the life—or a small piece of it—of Claire Montreal, Chloe Aldaine and Jared Tersios, three beings on a collision course with life as they never expected. Claire is a model who has everything a woman could desire: youth, beauty, a good job, and a handsome boyfriend (Jared). You could hardly go farther with “privilege,” or what it appears to be. Yet she is unfulfilled in many ways. She encounters a major first-world problem: she has never slept with a woman and a man at the same time.
Chloe is a girl of many parts, a bisexual girl who after years of being only with women reads a passage in Leviticus and becomes Born-again. When she shacks up with an engineer (gender: male), for her salvation, however, things don’t work out. One needs more than faith to shine, and the engineer barely has a light. While her life had not been perfect before, it had offered its joys, and Chloe had tasted them. But broken promises after broken promises had led her to question her place in the world. Her place in herself.
Now in the present, she lives secluded from temptation. But other gods are knocking, gods that surround her head, the gods that really have a handle on things. Her old fire is sparked again by Claire (who happens to be an old High School friend) who reveals to her her fantasy: to share her bed with Jared and another woman. Chloe begins to picture Claire as she used to picture other women in her not so-long-ago past. However, something happens. She veers her eyes from Claire to a more enigmatic figure: Jared.
Jared is the life and breath of Claire. The son of a millionaire, he is not what some would call a very dedicated man, especially as he has Claire to fund his life. Mostly. There is, however, a quality in him that resonates with people and that has a magnetism: his quiet, confidence, and humor. There is also something classy about him. He’s the kind of Alpha Male with a heart, and one that knows how to wear a suit. He loves Claire. Then Chloe appears.
